Our label reflects the simplicity that is inherant in our winemaking philosophy. Start with excellent fruit, make small adjustments to emphasise the natural flavors and aromas, keep it simple and use good practices. In other words-don’t screw it up! We have adhered to that ideal since our first foray into winemaking in 2008. Merlot started it all for us and we have made four Merlots since. In 2009, we made a beautiful Petit Syrah from grapes we bought from a renowned vineyard in Alexander Valley, and that has been followed by two additional Petit Syrahs, a Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cab Franc, and several red blends. In 2016, we harvested grapes from our own vineyard and created a field blend. Our first single varietal, a Sauvignon Blanc, was picked in September 2017, and bottled in January 2018. As our own vineyard matures, we look forward to creating more estate wines, but will always be looking for artfully grown fruit to add to our portfolio.
